Katherine Little has developed a process of pouring acrylic
paint onto the surface of draped canvas. She allows gravity
to play it’s part in the painting process as the color
flows on a journey across the white surface.
She manipulates the paint as it traverses, intersects and intermingles
with previous color pours. Her paintings are lyrical and lively,
with glorious color depicting abstracted landscapes and flowers.
Katherine supports the Anchorage Museum of History and Art by
donating one of her delightful paintings to the Annual Fund
Raiser Gala. In 2005 she took the People’s Choice Award
at the event for her 48" X 60" painting, ‘Paradise
Found’.
Katherine also donates a painting annually to raise funds for
KAKM, Anchorage Public TV.
The 41" X 60" painting, caused
a lot of excitement.
Katherine said, “When they brought out my painting, it
was fun to hear the reaction of the audience as they gasped
in delight. That’s what it’s all about."
